President Bush and former (thank god!) President Clinton are out on the campaign trail as the Battle for the Votes goes into it's final hours. In an AP report, Bush Campaigns, Dems Assail Status Quo the following was said about FORMER President Clinton's campaign speech:
"They can't run anything right," countered former President Clinton, taunting Republicans about the war in Iraq, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and even the scandal involving the House page program that complicated GOP efforts to win two more years in power.
I would really like to see what Clinton means by running something right. Let's look at some of the comparables to the Democrats and Clinton.
1) Clinton should never say anything about the page scandal. Anybody remember, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman." Enough said.
2) Let us not forget Rwanda. Clinton sat on his hands while hundreds of thousands were murdered and over 2,000 Marines could of been deployed within six hours of the initial attacks. (I know I was one of the 2,000)
3) The war in the Balkans. We still have troops over there. How come nobody talks about bringing them home?
4) High taxes. I know many of you will say that the Democrats will only raise the taxes on the rich. And of course, I'm not rich. But anytime you raise taxes that high it has a negative effect on everybody.
5)Failure to stop terrorist. Clinton never responded to the bombing of the USS Cole, this made the terrorist think that the US would not do nothing if they attacked. Plus, he never ever wanted to get Bin Laden, he was too busy trying to get Monica.
6) Failure to properly manage the NO-FLY Zones and Oil for Food programs in Iraq. If we would have stayed on the UN's back Saddam would not have gotten the lee way to do what he wanted.
I think that is enough said. It has taken the Republicans a long time to deal with the problems that Clinton made. So my message to Clinton is to think before he speaks. And yes, we make our mistakes too, but Republicans do a good job running things. And that's why I'm going out to vote tomorrow is to try and keep'em running things.
Thanks for reading,
