The New York Times has posted an article saying that the US will be seen in Iraq until at least 2009.

to read the article. I think that 2009 is a reasonable timeline. The
one thing we have to consider is that we have a lot of gear in Iraq,
i.e. tanks, planes, support equipment. We can't just leave that stuff
behind. I guess if Democrats believe that we should be out of Iraq in
2007, than we will have to leave all that equipment.
